SUBJECT: A MUST SEE EVENT TODAY

Morning Everyone,You know when you read reviews for a movie, play or whatever and you see things like “A Must See”….or “Five out of Five Stars”…or “The performers Touched Your heart”……you all know what I mean. Then you say to yourself…I should go see that!! Well, you have just that kind of experience coming to you this afternoon at 3:15pm when Melanie and Phyllis Hecker speak for a short 45 minutes in the Cafeteria!! This is a MUST SEE!! Several of us had the pleasure of meeting with Melanie and her parents, Mark and Phyllis Hecker last evening over dinner. This young woman totally captivated all of us. She is genuine, articulate, extremely bright, and most of all extremely engaging. You can’t help but want to talk with her and listen to her. Her mom says she never speaks after Melanie because Melanie is just too much of a tough act to follow. Melanie and her mom spoke to an audience of parents last evening and easily filled the hour and a half timeframe. In fact, some parents lingered to say hello to Melanie and to talk to Mark and Phyllis after the event. So, if you are looking for some affirmation that you chose the right field and no matter how difficult the current state of affairs may be with any one student, there is always, always hope that student will aspire to be successful and happy….you have to come listen to this young woman. She will touch your heart and inspire you to do as much as you can every day to promote the well-being of our students. As you can tell……she totally won me over!! Grace
